Logitech readying up accessories for PS3’s Europe launch

Logitech's Cordless Precision Controller - Image 1 In line with the upcoming March 23 launch of the Sony PlayStation 3 in Europe, Logitech has distributed a press release about its own line of PS3 accessories.

PS3 owners will be offered the Cordless Precision Controller, ChillStream Controller, and Cordless MediaBoard Keyboard this coming March.

The Cordless Precision Controller is intended to be an exceptionally responsive control set using Logitech’s floating D-Pad design. It allows users to stand up to 30 feet away from the PS3 console thanks to its 2.4 GHz wireless link. The controller is also powered by a pair of AA batteries, which should provide for a maximum of 150 hours of play. Expected retail price is US$ 39.99 (€ 30).

The ChillStream Controller, on the other hand, is being offered up for these among us with sweaty hands. The controller features a 40mm fan that circulates up to 3.41 cubic feet of air per minute. This air is distributed throughout the players hands which, along with the ChillStream’s rubber grips, ensures that no literal slip-ups occur during play. The controls come in either metallic silver or glossy black, and will be priced at $39.99 (€ 30).

Lastly, we have the Cordless MediaBoard. This wireless keyboard comes equipped with a touchpad and vertical scroll bar, and ensures that navigating the likes of PlayStation Network is less of a hassle than it usually is with the PS3’s standard SIXAXIS controller. The MediaBoard is expect to sell for around $79.99 (€ 60.5).
