Lua Devkit Released

Lua Devkit

Among all the homebrew news which I personally report, my favorite would be updates regarding development tools and the like. It’s great to see people making tools which other people can use to save time and make better homebrew. gosugenji from our forums would be one such example.

He has just released a Lua Devkit for budding Lua developers. Although calling it a devkit is a far shot, the thing is quite useful. It helps you find the co-ordinates in your program. Suppose you’re making an interface for your game and can’t get the button placement right. All you have to do is integrate this small piece of code into your app/game and it will help you find the perfect co-ordinates. Plus, there’s even a real time color picker.

I’d love to see more features in this small development tool. But in any case, this is something which all Lua developers should have a look at.

Included in the download is the actual code, plus a sample application. You have to integrate the source code into your own creation. I have also attached a usage instructions text file. It has the details plus the key details. Make sure to read it too. Thanks for the heads-up cooldocy795!
