Well, good news is that the Jump Festa event in Japan is coming soon. The bad news is that the woe-of-woes Square Enix Closed Mega Theater will make its presence felt. So says the official Jump Festa site.

And as Square Enix fans know, the Closed Mega Theater means that any and all trailers shown in it will not be open to the public. No form of media will be able to sneak out. Or at least, the ushers will probably use all means necessary to thwart all efforts of the audiences to sneak out some bootleg videos.

Heh. And though there may be an off-chance that a leaked video will eventually surface on YouTube, the admins over there usually take the videos down after a while.

Chances are, if you can’t make it to Japan to attend the event and want a clear copy of the trailer, you can wait a few months before they officially reveal it on the game’s website… or… fork over some money to buy a DVD with all those trailers. Blargh.

As you may remember, pretty much all of Square Enix’s upcoming (or recently released) games will be getting trailers during Jump Festa ’09 (see lineup here). This year’s Jump Festa event for 2009 is scheduled on December 20-21.
