Microsoft Looking to Up the Ante in Japan? New Games!

We received notification of an article on PALGN today about possible Xbox 360 turning towards the Japanese market. We knew already of Final Fantasy XI (and its downloadable beta test) as well as Phantasy Star Universe coming to 360, but there are some new titles, including one without a name. Square Enix, one of the most respected RPG companies out of Japan, has announced a “New Title”. Could be anything, so keep your eyes peeled! On April 6th, according to Jeux France and other sources, a meeting is to be held to discuss new potential titles. So far, the list is as follows:

• Virtua Fighter
• Afterburner
• PSU
• Winning Eleven Soccer (a.k.a Pro Evolution)
• New Tales Of…. Title

Winning Eleven and the Phantasy Star titles are huge in Japan. Hopefully this will ship some more Premium Packs over there, because Japan has been Microsoft’s biggest financial loss this year!
