New updates for the Burning Crusade FAQ

World of Warcraft: The Burning CrusadeThe Burning Crusade has taken quite a hit from World of Warcraft players who didn’t find the changes brought about by the expansion to their liking. A lot of people are still looking forward to it, however, and even though it has faced criticism, well, what game or game expansion hasn’t?

Anyway, today we bring all of you accomplished adventurers in Azeroth the new updates on the Burning Crusade FAQ over at the official WoW website. In order to make the information a bit easier to digest, we’ve compiled the updates in the form of a neat little list. Read on, folks.

RAIDS AND DUNGEONS

  • The new dungeons that will be introduced in Burning Crusade will have two difficulty options: normal and Heroic difficulty. In order to unlock the Heroic level of a dungeon, players will need to be level 70 and achieve other objectives. Heroic difficulty will be much harder, but the rewards will also scale up accordingly.
  • 25-player-capped raid dungeons will not have the Heroic difficulty option. The said option will only be available in the new non-raid dungeons introduced with the Burning Crusade.
  • There are no plans to adjust the loot system and player caps of older raid dungeons at this time. Also, there are no plans yet to create additional raid dungeons that accommodate more than 25 players. Additional outdoor raid encounters are on the drawing board, though.
  • The game devs are planning to implement a scaling system for hunter and warlock pets so that they remain viable as players progress into more dangerous areas of the game. Additionally, the reset times of the current end-game instances will no be changed at this time.

THE WORLD

  • Players can bind their hearthstones to any of the inns in Outland, therefore you don’t have to travel through the dark Portal every time you want to visit the Outland. Additionally, all player abilities that allow for travel, such as the the Warlock’s Summoning Ritual, will also work in Outland. As for travelling between continents, there are no plans to introduce faster methods of doing that at this time.
  • Content-wise, there will be two new dungeons available in Burning Crusade, along with the two new starting zones for the Draenei and the Blood Elves (yep, the two new races get their own starting zones).

There you have it folks. Hope these updates help answer your burning questions about this new WoW expansion (which has been delayed for a couple of weeks, in case you haven’t noticed).
