Square Enix has announced a simultaneous worldwide release for their “next great story”, Nier.

Square Enix has announced a simultaneous worldwide release for their “next great story”, Nier (known as Nier Gestalt in Japan). The game’s simultaneous global release has been set for April 23, 2010. That’s for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

The action-RPG tells the story of a man named Nier as he seeks a cure for the Black Scrawl disease that infected his daughter. Along the way he finds powerful allies and kills a whole lot of weird black inky creatures. You can watch a video of it here.
