On Blu-ray This Week: August 20 to August 26, 2007

This week’s lineup of Blu-ray movies might be a bit dry for some of us, but depending on what you’re looking for, you can manage to scrounge up a couple of gems this week.

For one, National Lampoon’s Van Wilder would definitely move the student body into some epic humor. Ryan Reynolds and Tara Reid take on college, with Reynolds’ character not wanting to graduate and trying to remain king.

Here’s the full list of movies coming out On Blu-ray This Week:

• Immortal Beloved (Sony Pictures)
• National Lampoon’s Van Wilder (Lionsgate Films)
• Perfect Stranger (Sony Pictures)
• The Lives of Others (Sony Pictures)

So, aside from Van Wilder, it’s going to be a choice between a Halle Berry/Bruce Willis suspense movie revolving around murder and conspiracies (in the form of Perfect Stranger), a take on the secret love life of Ludwig Van Beethoven (that’d be Immortal Beloved), and a politically heated surveillance process involving an actress and her boyfriend (as seen in The Lives of Others).

All four movies this week are coming out on August 21, 2007.
