On Blu-ray This Week: July 2 – July 8

Autobots, roll out! And while the only movie you’d probably be interested in watching this week would be Transformers, it still might please your History class professor to check out the Blu-ray movies being released.

Why your History teacher? Well, Mel Gibson is making his stand on Blu-ray shelves this week with The Patriot. Yeah, we bet some of you have seen it once as requirement to pass one of your History classes.

Here’s the full list of Blu-ray movies coming out this week, all of which are scheduled for July 3, 2007:

• Flatliners (Sony Pictures)
• The Patriot: Extended Cut (Sony Pictures)
• The Untouchables (Paramount Pictures)
• The Warriors: Ultimate Director’s Cut (Paramount Pictures)

Pretty interesting line-up we’ve got there (all four of which are coincidentally Rated R), including a gang movie that was just recently resurrected in the form of a video game. Playing the game is one thing, but actually getting to watch the movie that the game was based on is quite something else.
