Pixelman v0.92: new binary save and load, more

ZA WARUDO! (sprites by harsh29) - Image 1Here’s something useful for budding DS homebrew developers. Sylus101 has released a new version of Pixelman, a homebrew app that lets you design, test, create, and animate sprites directly on your DS.

Version 0.92 of Pixelman brings with it a few fixes and new features such as a binary save and load function. A Restart button has also been added to the app’s options. Here’s a full list of what’s new:

  • New:
    • Added binary save and load.
    • Added Restart button to options.
  • Fixes:
    • Added ability to have pixelman folder other than on the root of the card.
    • Added some failsafes so you can’t load invalid files.
    • Combined Transparency color change with Palette color change (being on color 0 changes transparency).

Installation and and usage instructions are available in the readme file bundled with the download. Sylus101 is also looking to add more features to Pixelman, including a Zoom function for working on 64×64 sprites and some drawing tools, so keep your eye on the QJ.NET DS blog for further updates.
