Pretty DS: Skincare Software to be released in Japan

DS Skincare - Image 1Konami is going to launch a skincare software geared for – of course – the ladies, giving essential beauty tips such as daily skin care instructions, and even setting a future target date such as an important meeting or a wedding, and helping ladies get prepped up for their big day.

Konami Digital Entertainment Corporate Officer Naoyuki Notsu is enthusiastic about the software. “We have developed the software under the concept of getting pretty while having fun,” she said in a news conference. Indeed, such fun for the ladies: it even gives out personalized tips based on basal body temperature and hormone balance.

The skincare software is not the only weapon Nintendo Company Ltd. is using to conquer the female market. Nintendogs, for instance, is a pet training game that managed to win the hearts of many females; the release of Pink DS units also helped. The DS Lite even has two shades of pink now: Noble Pink and Metallic Rose.

The yet unnamed DS skincare guide will be on Japanese store shelves on October 18, and will be priced at 4,500 yen (US$ 37). As with other strange DS titles, there are no specific plans for a launch in Western shores.
