Prometeus v0.9.4 released

prometeus

There are many available PSP homebrew applications out there that are Windows compatible. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I rarely come across Mac compatible ones. So if there are Apple users out here, this one’s for you.

Developer Dago watt recently came up with with a nifty release called Prometeus 0.9.4. The application, accordingly, is a Mac OS X tool that allows for manipulating ISO images. But more importantly, this homebrew converts PSX games and make them compatible instantly with 3.02 OE format.

It looks like the homebrew community is fond of PSX games lately. Just a while ago, we reported on another homebrew application, albeit Windows compatible, that allows for changing icons and pictures of different PSX titles. Oh well, as we always say, whatever floats your boat. The download link can be found after the changelog. And oh, don’t forget to browse through the readme file first.

  • Create folder with Game Name, automatically copy there KEYS.BIN and EBOOT.PBP. (Warning ! If you use same folder to generate games, use different Game Name because the app overwrite the old one.
  • Allow different PNG sizes (but not allow bigger than max size) except BACKGROUND.PNG (it has fix size).
  • Scan, Show and Use original Game ID to build your PBP file. You can add Game ID number manually too. ( Now, you can build PSX Multi Disks with the same Game ID number. )
  • When you change Game ID Number or Game Name you donÂ’t have got to press Enter. (Just Press Start button)
