PS3 falls to No. 8 at Amazon UK
Gaming news site Punch Jump informs all of us that Sony Corporation’s PlayStation 3 console has fallen to Number 8 at Amazon.com’s UK division after solid pre-order sales were seen during launch late march.
Prior to the launch, the PS3 held the number 1 and number 2 sales positions on the PC and Video Games division top-seller rankings. Upon release, the console fell to number 4. This week’s chart track also report that PS3 game title sales fell 60 percent in their second week at retail, and as most of you already probably know, console sales fell 80 percent.
This doesn’t mean a definite drop in consumer interest though, as other PlayStation related items remain in the retailer’s top ten chart, including the SIXAXS at number 4, and MotorStorm at number 6.
The wait for Lair, FFXIII, MGS4, White Knight Story, Heavenly Sword, LocoRoco 2, and that new Team ICO project just seems so much more painful.
