PS3 launch titles Delayed… at least in Europe

PS3s

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe CEO David Reeves has announced that several PS3 launch titles won’t be available until 2007. Christmas, but with Eyetoy described as being not playable at the moment”, Reeves is confident that it “will come before March 2007″. The CEO of SCEE is a pretty reliable source, however, Reeves did not make it clear whether these delays are worldwide, or just for the European market.

I can’t disagree with Reeves when he says “Without being too arrogant about it, I don’t think we worry too much about building up the hype in the first six months, but where the rubber hits the road is going to be when all those hardcore gamers have bought PS3. They have also bought Xbox 360 and they have probably bought Nintendo Wii as well.”.

By Reeves’ description, I am not a hardcore gamer, seems I only own a PS2, and probably won’t buy an Xbox 360 or a Wii. But one things for sure, no matter what the launch titles are, I’ll have a 60GB PS3 by this time next year.
