PS3 proxy hack blocked by Sony

With Geohot’s PS3 “custom firmware” still not out, PS3 owners who want to keep the Other OS feature have been staying on FW 3.15 and using a proxy hack to play online. Thing is, Sony have reportedly blocked the bypass from working.

 

 

 

 

With Geohot’s PS3 “custom firmware” still not out, PS3 owners who want to keep the Other OS feature have been staying on FW 3.15 and using logan5’s proxy tool to play online. Thing is, Sony have reportedly blocked the bypass from working.

 

A lot of readers have told us about the bypass’s demise, saying that using the proxy hack would just net you an 8002A212 error code. To gain access to PSN again, you’ll have to update to 3.21.

 

There seems to be no known bypass for this new verification system by Sony. Let’s just hope Geohot releases his own 3.21OO soon.
