Named ‘e-EnglishGym Portable’, this service is a co-operation between Sony Marketing and NHK Educational. NHK is the Japanese national TV company. It has a variety of language learning programs, including the ‘NKH Business English Conversation’. One particular service can be accessed through broadband, ‘e-EnglishGym’. This is this service which has been adapted for the PSP.
With e-EnglishGym Portable, Japanese salarymen will be able to learn English adapted to various situation of their business everyday life. They have to download the lessons on their PSP, one download costing between 210 and 735 yen {$6). If they download the entire set of lessons, they gain a rebate of 10% on the total price. The download process uses a PC and then the content is transferred onto the Memory Stick Duo.
