PSPCAP32: Amstrad CPC Emulator v1.0.7

The now legendary developer Zx-81 from our forums has updated his popular Amstrad CPC emulator, PSPCAP32, to version 1.0.7 today. Originally called Caprice32, this CPC emulator for the PSP faithfully emulates the CPC464, CPC664, and CPC6128 models. Currently in v1.0.7, this emulator works on both 1.5 and 2.0+ firmwares. Zx-81 has no further plans to release any more versions of this, but will release bug fix versions if bugs are found.

Whats new:

  • CPC/PSP Keyboard mapping Editor using the virtual keyboard – You can now load, edit and save your .kbd file inside the emulator).
  • The name of the current game is now displayed in the emulator menu – This name is used as file name for all saved data such as keyboard file or quick save snapshots

Bug fixes:

  • Bug fix in z80 emulator visible in batman game (couldn’t enter in some rooms)
  • Bug fix in virtual keyboard, several keys such as ‘Copy’ or ‘Capslock’ weren’t taken into account.

If you can’t quite figure out how to use it, the usage directions are in the readme. This download contains two versions, one for 1.5, and one for 2.0-2.6, which can also be used on 1.0. The package falls under the GPL license, so go ahead and modify the included source to your liking.

Good luck on future projects Zx-81!
