Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords suffers from SD TV text issue

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords - Image 1 Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords players on the Nintendo Wii have reported the game acting up on standard definition TV sets. Similar to the issue that plagued Capcom‘s Dead Rising for the Microsoft Xbox 360, text appears in such small sizes that reading becomes a gruesome ordeal. Will there be a patch for this from Infinity Interactive? We certainly hope so.

Puzzle Quest - Image 1Remember that fiasco which Capcom‘s Dead Rising caused over at the Microsoft Xbox 360 turf? Standard-definition TVs failed to render the characters, making them nearly impossible to read for a lot of people. Don’t look now but a similar issue has been reported for the Nintendo Wii and PS2 versions of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.

Infinite Interactive has recently acknowledged the problem and supported claims that the problem has nothing to do with the size of displays used. No word, however, was given on the subject of a patch being released to save the game.

If you remember, Dead Rising’s issue was never resolved as Capcom was unable to create a patch to address it. We certainly hope that Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords fares a little better in that regard.
