“Speed-skating” glitch found in Modern Warfare 2

The problems don’t appear to be waning for Infinity Ward and Modern Warfare 2. Another glitch has hit mainstream, and with many other glitches patched previously, you’d probably go wondering just how many of these exploitable bugs are out there. Every time something’s fixed, someone discovers a new one. This one seems to be the hot glitch for today’s cheaters, and it’s a speed-skating glitch that lets players “skate” all over maps at high speed.

One tipster informs Kotaku:

 

“When I entered the game the glitching was really noticeably. Everyone’s run speed was jacked way up and you’d slide/float across the ground like you were on ice rather than solid ground. I’ve talked to other players and its happened to them in separate games as well.”

 

So far, only the Xbox 360 version has been found to be affected by the glitch. No confirmation yet if the ones on the other platforms are experiencing the same. Robert Bowling hasn’t acknowledged the problem, but hopefully, they’re hot on working on yet another patch.
