Remixed track from Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune soundtrack by DK Shadow now available

Still upset with Naughty Dog and SCEA for the mistake in region-locking the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune demo (it’s fixed now, if you aren’t aware yet)? They have a peace offering for you: a remixed track by DJ Shadow taken from Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune soundtrack. Check it out behind the jump!

By way of saying sorry for the region-lock boo-boo of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune‘s demo, Naughty Dog and Sony Computer of America’s Line Producer Sam Thompson posted a track on the PlayStation blogs, titled Uncharted: The El Dorado Megamix.

This great tune is produced by DJ Shadow, taken from his Uncharted soundtrack remix CD that is exclusive to the game’s press kit. After looping the track many times, I have to say that this one great peace offering.

Thompson recounted that when they decided they needed someone to make remixes of the game’s soundtrack, they were unsure of who to pick. But a certain Josh Davis – also known as DJ Shadow – always made it onto the top of their shortlists. Now, we can see (rather, hear) why.

The remixed Uncharted tracks will be available along with the original music in the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune soundtrack that will be live on iTunes starting on November 20.
