Rhythm Tengoku Disguised As A DS Game in Japan

Rhythm Tengoku

By now, everyone knows that the DS is the biggest thing to hit Japan since…well, anything! Now, how do you sell a game for the Game Boy Advance in a society that’s gone nuts over its successor? By disguising it as a DS game of course! This isn’t even false advertising actually. It’s quite interesting how they’ve done this.

Rhythm Tengoku, a GBA game that’s selling very well in Japan now, is being sold in a DS-style game box. Not only that, it’s placed alongside all the DS games as well. On the box it says “CAN BE PLAYED ON NINTENDO DS” so that everyone knows it’s playable on the DS. Check out the photo above. Wonder what would happen if Nintendo released all their old GBA games like that?
