Rock Band release date bumped up to November 20

Harmonix announces an earlier release date for Rock Band this November 20 - Image 1In a recent announcement from Harmonix representative, the game developer company has announced that the release date of its musical rhythm simulation video game Rock Band (PS2, PS3, Xbox 360) will be bumped up to November 20.

The new release date is applicable for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 versions of the game. The PS2 version is still slated for a December release however, while the European version will be seeing its own release during the first quarter of next year.

The game will coincide with the launch of the new community site made exclusively for the game, RockBand.com. It’s pretty obvious that Harmonix wants to create a well-balanced community of musically inclined gamers with the release of this title.

The website features leaderboards, personalized band pages, individual forums, and even a “classified section” to help bands fill up their lineups. Who knows? We might even get to see a digital Battle of the Bands event in the near future.
