R-Type Tactics to hit Europe in September

Our friends in Europe might be wondering, “What the heck ever happened to R-Type Command?” Well, we have an idea as to what’s happening to it. It’s being localized (in its original Japanese name, no less) as we speak, and is set for a September release. Learn more about it after the jump!

Some of European readers may be wondering about the status of a European release for Irem‘s R-Type Command. You can rest assured that it’s coming, as we recently received a press release about the game’s upcoming release.

According to the press wire, the game, which will be called by its Japanese name, R-Type Tactics, will ship out on September 26, 2008. The info we’ve been given doesn’t mention if Europe will get any additional content or the R-Type figurine as part of a pre-order promo, but we suppose people will be happy enough once they get into the spirit of tangling with the Bydo armada.

In any case, we hope our readers in Europe can stand the wait. We know it’s tough, but if you want to get the goods you’ve always desired, sometimes you have to make a stand.
