ScummVM emulator: Wiimote support added - Image 1We have received word that a new ScummVM emulator build for the Nintendo Wii console has been released. While it’s unclear whether this new version’s also been developed by dhewg, we note that it now carries support for the Wiimote‘s motion controls.

We advise the readers to be extra careful with this release – the guys over at DCEmu note that there are instances where the emulator won’t load, or the cursor won’t move during games like Monkey Island 2 and Sam & Max: Hit the Road.

Disconnecting the Wiimote from the Nunchuck attachment appears to resolve the cursor problem. To boot this ScummVM emulator, you will first need to convert the .dol file in the bundles into an ELF format (You’ll need to have the Twilight Hack, though). Those interested in viewing the readme will want to visit dhewg’s site via the source link below.
