Secret Files: Tunguska to be released on DS and Wii

Mystery fans with Nintendo DS in their pockets and Wii consoles beside their TVs may have another reason to celebrate – and no, it’s not about Phoenix Wright 3‘s release schedule suddenly getting bumped up to today. It’s about Secret Files: Tunguska and the announcement from Koch Media of the game being ported in Ninty handheld and console form. Sweet.

Featuring a deep storyline revolving around a disaster in the Tunguska region in Siberia, players will follow the worldwide adventures of Nina and Max as they try to unravel the mystery behind Nina’s missing father, the Tunguska Catastrophe, and the underlying connection between the two of them. Sporting an innovative touchscreen control system for the Nintendo DS and a revamped, remastered graphics engine for both versions, players will find themselves lost for hours on end in the immersive experience that is Secret Files: Tunguska.

And players itching to tackle the mystery head-on won’t have to wait that long, with the DS version slated to be released around Q4 of 2007, while the Wii version on Q1 of next year. Not that long a wait for a game that’s been a long time coming. While we all wait with bated breath, however, here’s some screenshots to give you a taste on what Secret Files: Tunguska looks like on the DS’ dual screen. Enjoy!
