This next article is about Sengoku Basara: Heroes. We know you’re familiar with this video game, though you may not recognize it since it’s usually known by its English name of Devil Kings. Now that we are all on the same page, take note that Heroes is just an updated version of Sengoku Basara 2. This version will be available in Japan this winter for both for the Wii and PlayStation 2 (PS2). According to Capcom Game Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, this version serves to “complete Sengoku Basara 2.”

By complete, he meant that all characters from Basara 2 will be playable, including the previously non-playable ones. The list includes elusive characters such as Nagamasa Asai, Oichi, and Kojuurou Katakura.

Whenever we report on Wii titles, the phrase “will use the Wiimote” is almost a given. However, Kobayashi remarked that the Wii version of the game will not have any waggle controls. There is still no word if this samurai-themed action game will ever leave the shores of Japan, but we’re hoping it would.
