More info about Atari‘s upcoming beat-em-up for the Nintendo Wii, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, in this Shonen Jump scan update – and it’s about three confirmed characters in the game’s already massive roster of Saiyans, earthlings and other musclebound fighters. We get you up to speed and your energy levels charged for battle, just in case the world needs saving again!

In the scan, we find out about the inclusion of three obscure but nonetheless formidable fighters into the game, namely Dr. Willow, Tambourine and Selipa. Dr. Willow, as fans will remember, is the robotic antagonist in the second Dragon Ball Z movie, Dragon Ball Z the Movie: The World’s strongest. Tambourine, green scales and all, is a minion of King Piccolo, and was able to kill Kuririn, a member of the Z Fighters and Goku’s best friend, during a battle. And Selipa, of course, is the lone female Saiyan in the series, killed off by Freeza’s henchmen.

Certainly good of Atari to take the next-gen sequel of the Budokai Tenkaichi series seriously, even including characters not as popular as Goku but still have their own niche in the massive DBZ fanbase. Updates as we get them!
