Shoutcast radio for FW 2.60 to 3.11+ users

PSP - Image 1 QJ.NET Forums member BreakDecks dropped us a note to tell all of you that he has some extra bandwidth on his server so he decided to share it with anyone who wants Internet radio on their XMB. This should work on firmwares 2.60 to 3.11, and BreakDecks added that this should be compatible as well with future firmwares.

To avail yourselves of this Samaritan deed, you’ll need to go to “http://dl.breakdecks.com/shout/” on your PSP and click on the link. Then add the RSS feed to your channels and listen galore to Shoutcast from your PSP XMB.

However, BreakDecks mentioned that out of courtesy to other users, please don’t stream radio stations just for the heck of it. Stream when you want to listen. If you go to the link on your PSP right now, you will find out that there are just a few stations available.

Remember that these are mirrored off BreakDecks’ server so if you want to expand, the owner will be willing to accommodate you at these prices:

  • 15,000 points to get a station added to the main list.
  • 1,000,000 points to get your own personal XML file.
  • 1,000 points to add a station to your personal XML file (100 points if the station is already in the main list).

Should the service be discontinued for any reason without warning whatsoever, BreakDecks promised to refund all payments made 5 days prior to shutdown.
