Smash Brothers Update: Samus Aran’s Final Smash
Attention, fellow Samus fans – here’s the bit of news that we’ve been waiting for, fresh from the updates page of the Smash Brothers Dojo itself. While it was certainly given away by the game’s very first gameplay videos, it’s definitely a comfort that it wasn’t cut from the movelist. Presenting the lady in orange armor’s Final Smash, the devastating, burninating Zero Laser!
As usual, performing this particularly painful-looking Final Smash is simple – it’s getting the chance to that’s hard, as all Final Smashes need a Smash Ball to be performed. Get this ultra-rare item before your opponents do, and you’ll be treated to Samus literally overcharging her cannon to critical mass, before letting go with a MASSIVE beam of death that could give the guys over from Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 a run for their money.
There’s one little catch, though. After performing the Zero Laser, Samus’ armor falls apart – leaving our heroine in only her body-hugging Zero Suit. While the loss of firepower is obvious, yours truly here at QJ sees it as a limiter-removal of sorts. After all, that armor is heavy – Samus should, by all rights, be faster and stronger outside her armor rather than inside. She’s saved the universe countless times in it, hasn’t she?
Certainly a very good update coming from the people hard at work in making sure we get our copies of Super Smash Brothers Brawl on the announced release date. Updates as we get them!
