Some more features of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz

Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin' (what?!)Gamespot’s run-through of the current build of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz consists of two “mores” – more monkeys and more worlds – and intuitive control. Since we covered the “more characters” portion already, that leaves the worlds and the control.

The game’s new themed worlds now feature tropical islands, Egyptian deserts, icy tundras, pirate ships, volcanic pools, outer space. God help those monkeys as they navigate those themed puzzles. While the graphics don’t seem like a big leap from the GameCube, Gamespot found that there’s lots more going on in these Wii-rendered worlds.

Now every time a developer approaches the Wiimote, they always tend to say the word “intuitive.” Same thing goes for Banana Blitz, according to Gamespot – though they also mention that there’s a mechanic to learn as well. Gamespot still needs a bit of time, they say, to get comfortable with it. The core mechanics of Super Monkey Ball remain accessible, from navigating each level’s puzzle to attacking the bosses that await you. Aside from the new stuff that the Wii can offer, it’s still the same zany simian adventure as all the other monkeys that came before them.
