Tony Tyson, the technical director of LucasArtsStar Wars Galaxies (and who also goes by the alias Teesquared) released the first installment of a planned series of reports that will give players an idea of the new things coming to the game.

According to the director, he himself is working on a bug they found when update 2 went live. This particular issue affects the re-fire rate on ship weapons. Aside from that, Teesquared also shared that they made changes to the entertainer and medic professions.

The following is the rest of the report in bullet form that outlines the work being done and who in the development team is doing it:

  • Cheeseplus is our build master. He works on building the game, deploying changes to live and the test centers, and making sure changes made by developers go to the right place
  • We have DevH working on server side changes to support the community search features we are adding in Chapter 10
  • Torsion has been doing some really great UI work for us. Last month he cranked out the improved community searching UI changes. He also did the lockable UI elements and the buff/de-buff split in the status bar. Right now he’s working on more buff improvements and features
  • At this point, it’s not official, but we are prototyping some voice integration in SWG, and CancelAutoRun is hard at work on this

All in all, it seems like players of Star Wars Galaxies are in for a treat very soon. At any rate, don’t forget to check back here at QJ.NET for more updates on this game.
