Stop breathing, Onyxia! Patch makes Ony more aggressive

Two different players, same problem with Onyxia. The WoW Insider picked up word of something amiss in the World of Warcraft, as stated by players in the forums Some folks noticed how Onyxia seemed to breathing a lot more while fighting after the new patch, and this actually does have some fatal repercussions for character avatars.

One thing you have to remember is that Onyxia is a dragon. When she breathes, people die, or melt… or they die while melting. For her to use her breath attack often is an act of genocide against newly-formed raids.

In any case, that seems to be the problem, as the above screenshots from Maeda and Nhaerl happen to demonstrate. She not only does her breath attack more often, she also usually ends her streak of breath attacks with a 23,000 damage huff-and-puff. With the exception of the guy carrying the Sword of a Thousand Truths or used a well-timed Light of Elune (Alliance-only!), you’re as good as dead.

There have also been reports of Rend Blackhand’s scripted event in UBRS becoming more aggressive, with new enemies spawning right after the last one of the previous mob is killed and Rend entering with his dragon AND a small army. See, if this is the calm before the storm, then we’re really afraid to see what Blizzard has in store for The Burning Crusade.
