Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li storyboard image - Image 1Capcom is celebrating its 20th year anniversary with class. After announcing Street Fighter IV, we are being teased with another Street Fighter movie in production. And no, Jean-Claude Van Damme won’t be making an appearance here whatsoever.

Portraying Chun-Li, Kristin Kreuk of Smallville fame is the biggest name announced for the cast of the movie, dubbed as Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Currently, the film is in production in Bangkok.

Kreuk has some huge shoes – or thighs – to fill in as Chun-Li, one of video gaming’s most iconic characters. Here’s to hoping the movie turns out into a gem (knowing how video game adaptations often flop… Doom, anyone?).

In the meantime, to your right is a sample of the movie’s storyboard, illustrated by Ted Boonthanakit. Click the image for some high-resolution Chun-Li action.
