Supreme Commander – experimental units and montage vids

Can’t get enough of being Supreme Commander? We know the game’s been out for several of days, and the first patch came out just yesterday. Anyway, here’s a treat for those who don’t have the title yet.

Supreme Commander from THQ features three factions with each specializing in distinct types of units. The trailer showcases the experimental units. The Cybran Nation has the Monkey Lord (scary looking mech with spider legs and giant laser mounted on top), Scantis (artillery tank that “blooms”), and Soul Ripper. The UEF has the Fatboy (which looks eerily like a Siege Tank), Atlantis (sort of a aircraft carrier), and Mavor (like an oversized artillery weapon). While the Aeon Illuminate sports the Galactic Colossus (think the Colossus of Rhodes with missiles), Tempest, and Czar (think Independence Day).

We’re also throwing in a gameplay montage that features… well, all out war. We’ll leave you to watch the videos before this writer zones out into total RTS geekiness. Enjoy!

Check out the other video right after the jump!
