Sony PSP - Image 1Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer Red_Squirrel has dropped by again over at the QJ.NET PSP Forums and he released the latest version of the app formerly known as M33xEver. The dev now calls it System Information Manager and it’s currently at version 4.

If you’re not familiar with this type of application for the PSP, Red_Squirrel says “it’s a simple VSH plugin with which you can “obscure” the system info (Firmware version and MAC Address), changing them with your custom settings. All can be customized by editing the conf_SIM.txt.”

Note, however, that whatever changes are made are merely visual and will not affect the overall system specifics in your PSP.

The following are the new features included in this version:

  • Possibility to change Firmware Version visible in System Info
  • Possibility to change MAC Address visible in System Info
  • Compatible ONLY with CF 3.95GEN (for other CFs use M33xEver v3!).

The installation guide and other important notes are in the readme file included in the download. Please go through the text carefully unless you’re completely sure about what you’re doing.
