Three classic games added in the Wii Shop Channel

In case you still don’t know, Nintendo recently added three new classic games to the Wii Shop Channel. The games went live this January 15, 9 a.m Pacific time. Consider this as a heads up if you still don’t know or as a reminder to try them games in case you’re already aware that they are now out. Xevious, which has been available for a few days now on the other side of the Atlantic, is originally a Namco arcade game and was eventually ported to the NES. The classic will be able to let you control their Solvalou ship and destroy the XEVIOUS forces and will cost you 500 Wii Points. The second game is R-Type III: The Third Lightning, a SNES game that would put you in charge of finding and destroying the BYDO mother ship. This will cost you 800 Wii Points.

The last game is Moto Roader which traces its roots on the TurboGrafx16. This classic is a “futuristic” racing game where every race you win will entitle you to some cash, allowing you to pimp your ride – you can change the tire and body, and you can even put special parts. Any combination of the Wiimote and the GameCube controllers can be used when racing in multiplayer games. Moto Roader is going for 600 Wii Points.

There you have it!  We’ll be dishing out updates as soon as more classic games become available, for now, go ahead and have a blast!
