Why Wii? Here are ten reasons for you

It's WiiThere’s two sides to every story. There’s black, and then there’s white. But lest you forget, there’s also that thin line separating the two: the grey area. With the launch of the two most-anticipated next-gen consoles drawing ever nearer, most have already decided which side they’ll go to: the Wii’s or the PS3’s. However, there certainly will be those still sitting on the fence, still unsure as to which to get for this holiday. If you’re one of those people still in limbo, then this article should just be right for you.

Codename Revolution is giving you ten reasons why you should be getting a Wii over a PS3 for this Holiday Season. Bear in mind that this is not our personal take on this issue. Check it out, and see if it’s convincing enough for you.

1. More Third-Party Exclusives
With the likes of Red Steel, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam, Dragon Ball Z: BT2, and Super Monkey Ball:Banana Blitz, there’s obviously a whole lot more choices for you

2.The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess as launch title
They say it has got to be the one of the best Zelda titles ever made. And they say it’s go to be the greatest launch title ever.

3. 62 available games this year alone
Compared to the PS3’s collection of 23 games for this Holiday, surely, 30 downloadable classics plus 32 full games for the Wii clearly makes it a winner.

4. 2006 game titles practically for everyone’s enjoyment
There’s more variety in Wii games. And why not? They have, after all, marketed it as a family console. So, your choices won’t actually be limited to those hardcore titles that the PS3 have.

5. Getting sentimental with old-school games
Nothing beats the classics. And here, Wii’s got thirty of them. PS3’s expected to have two downloadable items, on the other hand.

The rest of the reasons after the jump!

6. Affordability and availability
No problems with the numbers here. They promised a million units for the North America launch, you’ll get a million units come launch. So there’s plenty to go around for everyone. Plus it’s way cheaper than the other console. For US$ 250, you’re getting a really sweet deal.

7. Pretty much the same games
You can pretty much find the same stuff for both consoles. So you won’t exactly be missing out on anything.

8. The Perfect Video game gift
It’s affordable, it’s for the whole family, it’s for your friends..even your girlfriends. Make it the perfect bonding tool this Holiday.

9. SPPL
That’s Small, Quiet, more Portable, Power efficient, and fast Loading times. It’s supposedly the smallest “mega-console” ever. So it may be small, but the things it can do are humongous. Being 20% more power efficient than GameCube, it can stay active while the console is turned off, all the while using power just about that of a miniature light-bulb’s. And then, it can take as much as only three seconds to load between many areas in game. That’s fast.

10. Revolutionary Control Scheme
So you want interactive gaming? The Wii remote gives you just that–and more. Every Wii title for this year will be making use of this technology, so there’s no reason why you should miss out on this. And not only that, you can also customize it with attachments like a steering wheel or a golf club.
