Wii browser screenies

Wii

Badam jut tipped us off on screenies over at Computer and Videogames, and sure enough, we were treated to shots of the Wii’s Wi-Fi browser in action. Thanks, badam!

To get you started, the controls are at the bottom of the screen, and are “pressed” via the Wiimote. The left and right arrows control page switching, the star is for bookmarking, and the page button with two arrows is the “exit browser button,” so just be sure to keep an ear out when Nintendo makes an announcement…or read the Wii’s manual when you get yours.

Next, we’ve got a sample boot-up image of the games when you upload them (This one’s a Zelda), and a couple images of the Mii‘s character editing features – you’ll remember seeing a similar setup during the Wii’s demo. And from what we can see, there’s also a memo system for users – like reminding the next guy to play to pick up the dry cleaning, or remind them there’s food in the fridge (Moms might wanna look up this feature).

Speaking of memos…where’s the keyboard? There’s a search feature on one other page here, but we can’t imagine how you’re gonna pull that off (efficiently, at least) with the Wiimote. Right below’s the screenshots. Enjoy!
