Wii Virtual Console Controller

It seems to be a day for Wii controller news, because an image has popped up on Nintendo Japan’s website picturing a controller that features a layout resembling a GameCube controller for use with the Wii. The heading is ‘Wii VC Remote,’ meaning that the specialized device will be exclusively for Nintendo’s Virtual Console feature.

Judging by the layout, the device looks like it will also be compliant with Nintendo GameCube games on the Wii. The only awkward part about using it for GameCube games is the placing of the main joystick below the D-Pad instead of above it, a design choice to support retro games better.

Hopefully more information about these VC controllers will be arriving soon. To ensure you are up to date on this an all other E3 news, check out this page periodically.
