Wolfenstein pulled out from Germany for Swastika

Wolfenstein - Image 1Wolfenstein (PC, PS3, and Xbox 360) is not welcome in Germany. Because of the presence of the Nazi symbol, the game has been consequently denied in the said country. In case you weren’t aware, the Swastika and other Nazi-related symbols are forbidden from within games in the country.

Developer Raven Software and publisher Activision did try to preempt this by removing all such symbols from the German version, in consideration of such sensitivities in the country, but still the recall was given the green light as of this week. It would appear that the clean-up was not thorough enough, and in fact, there were still some signs that evaded the erasure, caught on cam, such as the one pictured below.

As to what’s gonna happen next for the German version of the FPS, we’ll have to wait until Activision Blizzard decides how they want to deal with this.
