WoW TCG Card Preview: Smite

smiteFor the upcoming World of Warcraft trading card game, individual cards have been making their way into feature pages, such as last time’s Fireball.

Today, we have something that hurts just as much. Yes, it’s in the name itself: Smite. Very crunchy word, I tell you. The card’s ability reads “Your hero deals 4 holy damage to target hero or ally. That damage can’t be prevented.” For just one extra cost of resource, you can hit your opponent for 4 just like that and they can try to hide, run, duck or fly, but that damage is going right where it’s supposed to. And that’s Holy Damage, mind you which just goes to show that priests aren’t just there as medics but they can take things down, too, if need be.

See? I told you it hurts, and how sweet it is (as long as you’re dishing out the damage and not receiving it, of course).

Now, all we have to do is wait for other cards to start revealing themselves and see if we can come up with some even more devastating combos with those, so get that min-maxing mind of yours started.
