Flash game developer XGen Studios has just sent out a press wire announcing that they’ve been authorized to create titles for the Wii console’s downloadable game service.

Studio president Skye Boyes had this to say regarding the company’s soon-to-come foray into the Wii scene:

We’re taking advantage of the creative freedom afforded by WiiWare to bring fans a captivating co-op game, with great competitive elements and irresistibly charming art direction.

In line with this announcement, XGen further announced that they’re already underway with their first WiiWare release. No specific details have been disclosed regarding the game, though XGen hints that the game will be based on one of their previous titles.
