In a recent interview with the company’s president, Yoichi Wada talked about the future strategy and development of its many game titles and how Square Enix works its unique magic into its games.

Square Enix is always keen on developing new titles, as well as strengthening existing ones that have kept gamers on the edge of their seats. Two of its most recent and notable series include the Fullmetal Alchemist and the Kingdom Hearts series.

Already, the company has hinted on new titles that it will be tackling in the near future, which include Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land and The Last Remnant (Xbox 360, PS3).

According to Wada, the most important factor they consider when releasing a title is quality control. “We will never weaken a brand,” Wada added. This is most prominent in the long standing series they already have under their belt, such as the Final Fantasy and the Dragon Quest series.

Wada mentioned that there is little point in creating a title simply to please everyone if its compromises the game’s quality. This is the reason why each of their titles have their own identity with which gamers can closely and easily relate to.
