Your best foot forward: The Guild Wars PvP Primer

Primer

Guild Wars has released a PvP Primer that should help you with your social skills, while at the same time maintaining that edge as an individual PvP, and able to compete in the 1v1 Hero Battle championship series.

The primer does give some very useful tips, such as on how to look for a guild, if and when you do decide that you are ripe and ready for some branching out. And as Guilds do exist as “the primary driving force behind much of PvP”, you must then expect that there will be certain requirements you have to meet and follow. After all, it is a primordial point of organization in the game.

Some of the pre-requisites that you may encounter may include age restriction, game experience, specific PvP format and agreement with stated philosophy and goals. But mind you, those are but some of the requirements. So don’t go being cocky just yet, ticking off the checklist and thinking you’re all set to go get yourself a guild.

Now, apart from that, there also are the official fansites that you can browse through for you to at least have an idea as to what’s out there. Then, there’s also the Guild of the Week article which features a player-nominated guild every week. This should give you a good opportunity to scour for detailed information on your prospective guilds. Then, there’s also the In-game recruiting.

As for the external resources, there’s still a plethora of avenues for you, such as the Voice Chat Software, microphone and headset, and of course, the forums. If you’d want to go find yourself a group outside of a guild, then the primer suggests you use the Party Search panel or All Chat (or both) since group leaders do tend to use these to collect players.

Anyhow, it sure is helpful, and it should keep you in the right track of finding the right guild for you. So, if you wanna check out the full detailed primer, just head on over to the Read link below.

Good luck!
