Ys I & II for the DS to be released on March, latest trailer

It’s not unusual for previous titles to be ported to handhelds. As for Interchannel-Holon‘s Ys series, it will be ported over to the Nintendo DS in the month of March. In addition to this information, we have the latest trailer of the upcoming game. As expected from a title that became popular with its vintage anime-style type of cinematics, the trailer is rich with cutscenes.

Good games from the past die hard. With what is happening now, previous titles are now being ported over to handheld systems. With Ubisoft‘s news that they will be porting their popular game, Assassin’s Creed, Interchannel-Holon is following suit by porting over the first two games of their Ys franchise.

As proof that we’re not telling a fib, we’ve provided you with a trailer of the game. It simply is chockfull of vintage anime-style cutscenes. A few scenes of gameplay were also added to let viewers take a peek of what they’re going to experience with the game.

Don’t be easily fooled with the information that it will be released on February 20, 2008. It’s actually set to be released in the US on March 20, 2008.
