Yes, this is an off-topic post, but it’s Christmas Eve (the PS3 news fairy has left for the holidays and is playing Genji right now). So have yourself a merry chuckle over this instead.

Advertisers can be cruel. And Digg commenters can be cruel too: patsfan456 said that at least gift cards have been released in Europe.

PS3 fans should look at this gas station sign as a good thing. After all, this ad won’t work: “Your kids want gift cards not Sky Dancers.” Half the kids reading this article don’t even remember Sky Dancers. But most people driving by this sign know what a PS3 is. The gas station sign is effective because people driving by this sign have heard that the PS3 is in demand.

So we laugh about this ad. We’ll start whining when people stop talking about the PS3 – because that’s the sign that things aren’t going so well anymore.
