Wii Online functionality confirmed by Pokemon Battle Revolution

IGN reports that Nintendo Senior Director of Public Relations, Beth Llewelyn, has given the final dates for Wii’s Q2 line-up in a recent interview. IGN also claims that consequently, she also gave the dates that confirmed when Online play will be available for the Wii.

The first game set to show off Online play for the Wii? That would be, Pokemon Battle Revolution and US Pokemon lovers can expect to play it by June 25.

This Pokemon game of course, has some connectivity geeks wetting their pants in excitement. Given that Pokemon Battle Revolution features the use of the DS-to-Wii connection, this means that after kids have spent the whole day walking around and training their monsters on their DS, when they get home, they can connect the thing to the Wii, go online, and battle their friends. DS to Wii to online, millions of little kids connected and zombified by little electric rodents.

Crap. Now we’ve got that annoying Team Rocket motto ringing in our heads. Prepare for trouble folks… and make that double… oh the horror!
