Activision taking Call of Duty franchise to space?

Call of Duty: Space Warfare? Don’t laugh too hard. We might actually see that game in the future.

 

Activision’s plans to “further monetize” the Call of Duty franchise is simple enough to translate: they want to keep milking their giant cash cow. To that end, the publisher has chosen to file trademarks for a bunch of CoD titles, including a few that are pretty far out.

 

Among the trademarks filed include ones for Call of Duty Space Warfare, Call of Duty Secret Warfare, Call of Duty Future Warfare, and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.

 

Secret Warfare, Space Warfare, and Future Warfare also got individual trademarks filed for them by Activision.
