EQII: Crushbone, Mistmoore and The Male Fae

After the Hooper interview, there’s been a lot of EQII players requesting news of the new expansion pack, Echoes of Faydwer.

First, was the appearance of some Male Fae screenshots. This however will be dealt with on the EQ2’s-Day Online Radio, September 12, 3-4pm Pacific Time. The hosts will also be tackling a simple overview of the expansion, the new Echoes of Faydwer website, experiences in adventuring and the effects it has on the game community.

Second was The Crushbone Caverns and Castle Mistmoore screenshots. First some backgrounders for the new players.

The Crushbone Caverns is considered as one of the better low level dungeons in the game. This is the logical place to go after level 12, wherein you can slay higher level Orcs. Since most Orcs have some form of cloth, armor, or weapon, you can sell them for more currency. There are also a lot of unique and quest items around such as the Shiny Brass Shield, Screaming Mace, and Dragoon Kirk.

Castle Mistmoore is a dangerous place. It is filled with dark elves in the day and the undead at night. They spawn quick and attacks aggressively. The trains however, post the biggest threat since they come from within the castle, and most creatures hitchhike along the way. Imagine a train just full of monsters of every size glaring across your path. The best way to deal with the trains is just to avoid them for the time being. Make sure you come in with a party. If not, expect to die like the others who litter the entry hallway. Veterans only.

Well, enough of the chit-chat, here’s the screens for the above places (Crushbone and Mistmoore) and more!
