Half-Life 2 Ep 2 Videos: Particle and Shadow
This just in folks. There are two new game videos up for Half Life 2: Episode 2, and man, do they look sweet.
The two videos basically show off the new techniques they’ve been putting to use for the second episode, and are titled “Particle” and “Shadow.” In “Particle,” Mr. Freeman whacks the stuff out of things with a crowbar, showing off the particle physics we’ve come to expect from a game of this caliber. The second one is a lot more interesting though. “Shadow” basically acts like a short horror movie, introducing the effects of shadowing by using glowworm illumination as the main light source for the area… very freaky.
Have fun watching these movies! HL2 Ep 2 is expected to come out in February 2007 so keep a lookout and check QJ for more info as it happens. Oh, and be careful where you step.
