Lord of The Rings Online Reveals the Playable Race of Hobbits
The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar is nearing its debut in the MMO realm. Bits and pieces of information have been revealed about the game, just enough to tease the legions of Lord of the Rings fans who have eagerly been anticipating this incarnation of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s wildly popular book. In the game, players can form Fellowships to challenge the evil powers of the dark lord Sauron. The only thing that needs to be decided on is to which class to select. You could join the Elves and fight side by side with Legolas, or become brothers with the axe-wielding Dwarfs. Or you can live the simple life enjoyed by the Hobbits.
Though the Hobbits are simple, quiet folks who prefer to dwell in hillside holes of The Shire, they shouldn’t be underestimated. They may vertically-challenged but they are determined in their actions and adept with the bow or knife when they need to be. These “Halflings” enjoy the peaceful endeavours of farming, eating, and gift-giving and rarely concern themselves with the dangerous affairs of the rest of Middle-earth. But they have the toughness and spirit of adventurers.
If you’re convinced that being a Hobbit would create a great impact in your gameplay, you can choose from the available classes available to the Race of Hobbits: Guardian, Minstrel, Hunter and Burglar. The game is expected to hit shelves by the end of the year.
